It’s not too early to start thinking about summer camp!
Once again Sarasota Film Society will be sponsoring their Seventh Annual Filmmakers Summer Camp for Middle to High School students. Similar to prior years schedule, classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am till 2:00pm, beginning June 18th and concluding August 1st. Open House will be Friday, May 24th at 6:00pm & Orientation will be held Saturday, June 8th at 9:30am at Lakewood Ranch Cinemas. The program will consist of an exciting 6-week course where students will have an opportunity to explore all aspects of filmmaking, from beginning to the actual creation of their own film. At the conclusion all participants and parents are invited to a Red Carpet Premier Reception with a private viewing. Last years participants also shared in the excitement of viewing their film as part of our annual Cine-World Film Festival held in November.
Further, we are once again fortunate to retain the services of Mr. Anthony Lenzo, last years Camp Instructor. As you may recall, Anthony has taught public speaking, film, and mass communication at the Ringling College of Art and Design. Anthony is currently teaching courses at State College of Florida. Teaching is truly one of Anthonys' greatest passions.
Camp this year will be free to Qualified Applicants. Space is Limited.
