Cine-World 2009
Sarasota Film Society is pleased to present its 20th annual Cine-World Film Festival! Topping the lineup are several eagerly anticipated independent films, including “EVERYBODY’S FINE,” a remake of Giuseppe Tornatore’s “Stanno Tutti Bene” starring Robert De Niro. Also highlighted this year are Lee Daniels’ “PRECIOUS,” Jean-Marc Vallee’s “THE YOUNG VICTORIA,” starring Emily Blunt, and Lone Sherfig’s “AN EDUCATION.”
Sarasota Film Society continues its tradition of exhibiting the best in world cinema with a wide range of quality films from all over the globe, including movies from Spain, Israel, France, Germany, The Czech Republic, Sweden, Denmark, India, and Argentina.
The 2009 Cine-World Film Festival begins November 6th and runs through November 12th. Screenings will be held primarily at Burns Court Cinemas in downtown Sarasota with special shows at Lakewood Ranch Cinemas. Festival passes will be available for members of Sarasota Film Society online Monday, October 19th. Advance passes will be available to the public beginning October 26th. Individual tickets sales will become available for both members and non-members on November 2nd. Red Passes, good for twenty admissions, are $120.00 for members and $160.00 for non-members. Black passes, good for ten admissions, are $62.50 for members, and $87.50 for non-members. Single tickets are $6.50 for members, and $9.00 for non-members.
